Settings
Overview
Basic settings can be viewed and edited on the Settings page, which encompasses General and Product Settings. In addition, a user can view an audit trail of user activity across their organization.
General Settings
User Settings
A user can edit their display name and email address under the User Settings section. Depending on the role of the user, they may be able to edit account information for other members within their organization (see: Roles and Permissions below).
To edit your user information, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Settings page (click on the person icon at the bottom left side of your user interface, select Settings).
- Under the Personal Settings section, click on the pencil icon to make adjustments to the information that you would like to change.
Organizational Settings
The majority of an institution’s organizational settings will be configured during the onboarding process (see: Operational Requirements). A few settings however, such as organization name and timezone, can be edited directly within the platform. Any changes made to an organization’s information within Settings will be applied for all users.
Roles and Permissions
A user can have one of three roles within their organization: admin, editor, or viewer. Each role has different access controls and permissions that vary by level of authorization.
A user with an admin role has the following capabilities:
- Can add or remove members from an organization.
- Can edit the details of a member’s account and/or role, including their own.
- Can add, edit, or remove a product from the organization within the MBI platform.
- Can determine Segment actions, such as creating, editing, and archiving a Segment.
- Can create and execute promotions within the Promotions Builder.
A user with an **editor **role does not have access to managing organizational settings, or member settings on the organizational level. An editor does, however, have the following capabilities:
- Can determine Segment actions, such as creating, editing, and removing a Segment.
- Can create and execute promotions within the Promotions Builder.
A user with a viewer role can view organizational account and member information, and can view Segments and Promotions. However, a viewer cannot action any settings on the organizational level or within the platform.
